Individuals can now deduct up to $300and married couples can deduct up to $600 of cash contributions for taxpayers that elect to not itemize deductions.

For those that itemizethe bill has lifted the cap on annual contributions to 100% of your adjusted gross income (up from 60%). Excess contributions can be carried over to the next year.

These deductions are only for cash donations given directly to qualified organizations, like the PSO. Gifts made through Donor Advised Funds are not eligible for this deduction.
