Parking

Accessible parking is available on a first come, first served basis along the right side of Myrtle Street.

Seating

Wheelchair-accessible seating is located on the main floor, and in the Grand Tier, and all floors are elevator accessible. We also offer lift-arm seating for any patrons who feel comfortable moving from their wheelchair into Auditorium seating. To purchase accessible seating, please call our box office, PortTIX, at (207) 842-0800, and acknowledge that you or a member of your party requires accessible seating. They are open Monday – Friday, 11 AM – 3 PM.

Hearing Assistance

Augmentative hearing devices are available through the city at the downstairs concession stands, or look for a Portland city staff member in a red vest to assist you.

LARGE PRINT PROGRAMS

Large print programs are available upon request, look for a Portland Symphony staff member or usher to help you acquire one.

Restrooms

Accessible stalls are available in the general restrooms on the first floor. Our ushers will be happy to direct you.

Additional Assistance

The Portland Symphony and city ushers and staff are happy to assist any patrons needing additional assistance. When you arrive at Merrill Auditorium, please ask any usher for the assistance you need in finding your seat or generally finding your way around the hall. Please note that usher staff and volunteers are not able to provide personal attendant services.

Bring your class to a youth concert

This year’s Youth Concert will feature a performance of Carnival of the Animals: Remix, an engaging and reimagined version of Saint-Saëns’ famous work. Featuring local artists including a rapper, a Native American flute player, and an erhu player, this interactive daytime performance is perfect for all elementary students (K-4).
