PASSPORT FAQ
You do not have to join more than one passport level and the level you join is largely determined by the benefits you are most interested in receiving. If you plan to attend live, in-person concerts at Merrill Auditorium in the 2021-22 season we would suggest becoming a FULL PASSPORT holder. If you do NOT plan to attend in-person concerts at Merrill Auditorium in the 2021-22 season, but would like to save your seats for the 2022-23 season and have digital access to all Classical and POPS! concerts we would suggest becoming a BASIC PASSPORT holder. If you are only interested in the digital content and don’t want to save your seats, we would suggest becoming a DIGITAL PASSPORT holder.
Absolutely! You can easily switch to whatever Passport level you prefer. Once you have determined which level you would like to move to, please give our box office PortTIX a call at (207) 842-0800. They are open Monday – Thursday, 11AM – 3PM.
We will be sending out a Passport Holder packet sometime in September! It will include physical tickets as well as information regarding your Passport level, the different benefits you receive, and how to access your digital content.
You will receive the concert email with links to access the concert on the day of its premiere. If you are already set up on PSO TV, you can also log in directly to your PSO TV account to view the program from there.
A digital performance is a concert performed by your PSO musicians that can be viewed from the comfort and safety of your own home! They could include:
- Larger-scale concerts that have been recorded in Merrill or an alternative venue either live or broadcast at a later date.
- Solo or small ensemble recitals or chamber performances filmed at Merrill, an alternative venue, or from the safety of each musician’s home that are filmed and edited together.
The PSO Passport is an updated subscription model that allows for more flexibility for you during these fast-changing times. It expands upon the original subscription series prices, breaking them into three separate levels customized to meet the different needs of our subscribers right now: Full, Basic, and Digital. It allows you to experience music when and where you want!
The differences are in the benefits you receive and the price levels. The different benefits can be found listed above, and the prices can be found by calling our box office PortTIX at (207) 842-0800.
Yes! The Magic of Christmas in-person concerts are now on sale!
The deadline to change your Passport level is August 14th. Please note, after this time, you will not be able to decrease your Passport level and receive a refund for the difference.
This year we will be mailing out physical tickets with your Passport subscriber welcome packets. Please note, only Full Passport subscribers will receive physical tickets since Basic and Digital Passport holders will not be attending live, in-person concerts as part of their subscription packages.
Yes, you may transfer some or all your seats to a family member or friend. This can be done by sending our box office PortTIX an email or mailing them a letter with the instructions for your transfer. We ask that you please let us know who the recipient will be and their name, address and patron ID number (if known).

Great! If you become a Full Passport holder, you can experience the first half of the season online and then enjoy concerts in person once we are cleared to return to Merrill. This saves your subscription seats for the concerts you will attend in the 2021-22 season.
You can become a Basic Passport holder, it saves your subscription seat for the 2022-23 season at almost 50% off the original subscription price! Please note, you will NOT have access to your seats in the 2021–22 season, nor will you have seating to any socially distanced concerts. You will also be required to pay the subscription renewal price for the 2022–23 season to ensure access to your seats for that series.
You will be able to purchase additional tickets outside of your subscription series starting September 13, 2021.
Currently, we are unable to process subscription payments in installments, but are looking into policies and procedures that will allow us to do so at a later date.
If you decide you would feel safer staying at home after you have subscribed, you have some great options available to you:
- You can experience the content on our digital platform from the comfort and safety of your own home!
- You can give your tickets to a friend who might feel a little more comfortable attending in person and keep your subscription and monitor how everything changes and how you feel throughout the season.
- You can exchange or turn-back your tickets concert by concert to keep the option of attending some later performances open.
- You can turn-back your subscription as a donation to the PSO which ensures you keep your seats for the 2022-23 season.
Yes! We will be releasing digital content throughout the season. Each Passport level gives you access to our digital content. You can view the different levels available to you above.
As of now, we do not know if we will cancel any concerts next season. However, as the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 keep changing, we plan to modify concerts as necessary to ensure we are following the most up-to-date city, state, and federal health guidelines. We will be sure to keep you updated as we know more.
Excellent question! As of now, we are selling all concerts at full capacity with no social distancing. However, if the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 change, we will follow the most up-to-date city, state, and federal health guidelines and will consider all possibilities to ensure the health and safety of our musicians, patrons, staff, and the greater community.
