Keeping the Arts Alive in Maine

The PSO is profoundly grateful for all the support we have received to help us Play On and we are hopeful the PSO Passport and our new season will allow us to enrich lives through music, while we navigate the challenging road ahead.

Times like these show how vital the arts are to our communities, our state, and the world. Due to the pandemic, many of Maine’s beloved and vital non-profit performing arts organizations are facing difficult decisions and even potential permanent closure.

The PSO stands with our fellow non-profit performing arts organizations and co-signs the following open letter advocating our state and national leadership for a Performing Arts Covid Grant Program to help keep the arts alive during these dire times.
