Lisa Goddard, violin

Lisa Goddard is an avid orchestral and chamber musician on both historical and modern instruments. She plays regularly with the Portland Symphony in Maine, the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, and the Boston Ballet Orchestra, and can also be heard with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, Handel and Haydn Society and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project. Lisa is a founding member of Cardamom Quartet, an ensemble committed to reshaping the canon by playing music by women. She runs a Suzuki violin program (the Goddard Violin Studio) in Jamaica Plain, and is on the board of the Massachusetts Suzuki Association.

Bring your class to a youth concert

Coming in 2025… The Portland Symphony Orchestra partners with Carnegie Hall to present Link Up: The Orchestra Sings! Link Up is a fully participatory, school-day concert program. Students will fill Merrill Auditorium to sing, play recorders, move, and listen along with the symphony from their seats. This program is designed for students in grades 3-5 but all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
