Portland Symphony TV FAQ’s

PLEASE NOTE: Classical Subscribers already have access to the PSO Classical digital concert, and do not need to purchase individual tickets through Portland Symphony TV.

PSO digital concerts are available for viewing in the United States only.

How to Watch Concerts on PSO TV

How to create your Portland Symphony TV account online

STEP 1: Go to www.portlandsymphonytv.com/login

STEP 2: Put in the email address associated with your PortTIX account* and click ‘NEXT’.

STEP 3: On the next screen, select the ‘Reset Your Password’ option. Add your email one more time and select ‘Reset Password.’

STEP 4: Check your email for a message from Vimeo which will allow you to set your password and log-in. Follow the instructions provided and you’re all set!

Please Note: You will need to register a password with Portland Symphony TV before you are able to log in and watch any concerts. It can be the same password as your PortTIX account but that password  will not work in Portland Symphony TV until it is registered through these steps.

How to watch on your computer

STEP 1: Go to www.portlandsymphonytv.com/login

STEP 2: Log-in with your Portland Symphony TV email and password. If you don’t have a log-in please see ‘How to Create Your Portland Symphony TV Account’ above. You will automatically be taken to the Portland Symphony Orchestra BROWSE page.

STEP 3: Click on the product or collection you want to watch. If the video does not being playing immediately one it has loaded, click once anywhere within the black rectangle. To watch in full-screen, click the FULLSCREEN button in the lower right of the video.

How to watch online on your phone or tablet via the web browser

STEP 1: Open your phone or tablet’s web browser and go to www.portlandsymphonytv.com/login

STEP 2: Tap the menu button in the top left and SIGN IN.

STEP 3: Log-in with your Portland Symphony TV email and password. If you do not have a PSO TV log-in please see ‘How to Set Up Your Portland Symphony TV Account’ above.

STEP 4: Click on the product or collection you want to watch. If the video does not being playing immediately one it has loaded, click once anywhere within the black rectangle. To watch in full-screen, click the FULLSCREEN button in the lower right of the video.

How to watch on your TV via your Smart TV's internet browser

If you have a Smart TV, such as Samsung, it may not be possible to log in or play the content from the built-in internet browser. In other words, it could work, but those browsers are not among our currently supported browsers. 

STEP 1: On your TV, open the internet browser and visit www.PortlandSymphonyTV.com

STEP 2: Enter your email address, submit, and you will be emailed a link.

STEP 3: On a separate device (i.e. another computer or mobile device), open your email inbox, open the login email, and click the LOG IN link.

STEP 4: Go back to your TV browser, and you should be logged in to watch.

If these steps don’t work, then it’s likely that your Smart TV will not be compatible. In this case, you can try connecting your computer or mobile device to your TV using an HDMI cord or casting via Chromecast or Airplay with Apple devices.

HOW TO UPDATE/CHANGE YOUR PORTLAND SYMPHONY TV EMAIL ADDRESS:

STEP 1: Make sure you are currently logged into your Portland Symphony TV account.

STEP 2: Hover your cursor over your account avatar (the colorful circle or image in the top right of your browser page) to reveal the dropdown menu.

STEP 3: Click ‘ACCOUNT SETTINGS’ listed immediately underneath your email.

STEP 4: In the very first box titled ‘Email’ delete the current email associated with your Portland Symphony TV account and in the same box, enter the NEW email you would like associated with your Portland Symphony TV account.

STEP 5: In the very last box, underneath ‘Re-enter password’ and the faint white line, enter your CURRENT password. You must enter your current password in order to save any changes made to your account information.

STEP 6: Click the gold ‘SAVE’ button on the bottom right. Your information should now be updated to your preferred email.

Bring your class to a youth concert

Coming in 2025… The Portland Symphony Orchestra partners with Carnegie Hall to present Link Up: The Orchestra Sings! Link Up is a fully participatory, school-day concert program. Students will fill Merrill Auditorium to sing, play recorders, move, and listen along with the symphony from their seats. This program is designed for students in grades 3-5 but all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
