Based on the City of Portland’s cancellation of events at Merrill Auditorium and a recommendation from Governor Janet Mills, and in an effort to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we will be canceling all Portland Symphony Orchestra concerts as well as select events through April 13, 2020. Join Music Director Eckart Preu for the Concert Conversation 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the concert. It is free to all ticket holders and held onstage at Merrill Auditorium. The discussion will focus on works by Handel, Boyce, Elgar, John Lunn, and Haydn.

Bring your class to a youth concert

Coming in 2025… The Portland Symphony Orchestra partners with Carnegie Hall to present Link Up: The Orchestra Sings! Link Up is a fully participatory, school-day concert program. Students will fill Merrill Auditorium to sing, play recorders, move, and listen along with the symphony from their seats. This program is designed for students in grades 3-5 but all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
