With its delightful combination of nostalgic traditions, wondrous surprises, and an array of holiday favorites, Magic of Christmas promises to be a memorable celebration of joy, wonder, and the spirit of the season.

Featuring exceptional musical performances from your Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Magic of Christmas Chorus, the PSO Children’s Chorus, and special guests, it’s no wonder this has been one of Maine’s favorite holiday traditions for over 40 years. 

This family-friendly concert will last approximately one hour, and will NOT have an intermission.

Bring your class to a youth concert

Coming in 2026…The Portland Symphony Orchestra partners with Carnegie Hall to present Link Up: The Orchestra Moves! Link Up is a fully participatory, school-day concert program. Students will fill Merrill Auditorium to sing, play recorders, move, and listen along with the symphony from their seats. This program is designed for students in grades 3-6 but all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
