Tickets are $200 per person and $2,000 per table (seating 10 people.) $125 of each ticket is tax deductible. Price includes five-course meal and wine pairings.
The Portland Symphony Orchestra Wine Dinner and Auction has been a fixture on the Portland calendar “must do” events since 2002. It was the brainchild of Jeff Kane, former PSO board member and current President of National Distributors, Inc., and Sam Hayward, Fore Street chef-partner and nationally known food guru. They conceived an event in which a selected winery would choose wines for each course and the participating chefs would create a dish to complement the wine.
Nancy Gray, owner of the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, has generously supported the dinner by donating the use of her beautiful dining room and has made her staff available for the serving of the dinner. The Harraseeket Inn’s Executive Chef, Troy Mains, is the mastermind in the kitchen and coordinates the evening’s courses with the four visiting chefs.
